Artificial graphite

It is technical material produced from carbon material in pressing procedure with the following обжигом at 1100 С and graphitization at 2400-2800 С. Thus the disordered structure of carbon material turns into crystal hexagonal graphite structure.

Application of artificial graphite

Artificial graphite has enormous applications owing to its high sublimation temperature (it is hard even at 4000 K), low density, good heat chock resistance, high thermal conductivity, good antifriction and anticorrosive properties. The main choice ctiteria for structural graphite are its mechanical, thermalphysic and chemical characteristics.

Structural graphite

– Special graphite and carbon materials for making products of customized shape for metallurgical, chemical and mechanical applications. Graphite can be easily machined, which allows to make sophisticated products on mechanical equipment.

Products made from structural graphite are used in such working conditions that are inapplicable for other materials (because of product dirtying, environmental pollution, quick deterioration, etc.).

Fine-grained graphite (general purpose graphite) МG and и МG-1

– is used in production of quartz glass, television tubes, crucibles for hard alloys, graphite rigging of vacuum furnaces.

МG, МG-1

- used in production of crucibles, lining, etc.

МPG-7

– applied in electroerosion, in production of crucibles for jewelry.

Antifriction graphite

– is used in production of parts of friction assemblies (junk-rings for compressors, bearing brasses, friction bearings for pumps, etc.).

АG-1500-С05

- graphite-lead material. It is used in conditions of dry friction of steel and chromium.

АG-1500-Б83

- graphite-babbit material.

АМС-3

- is used in production of mechanical seal details, operating in water and air.

Foundry graphite (ГLС)

Is applied in foundry as dressing filler for mould and rod coverings in iron and non-ferrous castings, sand and slag-making blends, heat insulators, in refractory industry, etc.
